You Don't Have to Hold It All Together
You don't have to hold it all together.
When I think about holding it all together, I think about a fish out of water, gasping, trying to breathe in a place it was never meant to survive. And sometimes, that's exactly how it feels.
There are moments when I feel like if I let go of the weight I've been carrying, everything will fall apart. So, I keep holding it. Even when I know it's doing more harm than good.
My body is weary. But my mind keeps saying, "Just one more mile." The problem is, that mile never comes. Because I keep adding more weight. More responsibility. More pressure.
And somewhere along the way, I stopped asking myself if I was okay.
You Were Never Meant to Carry It All
But here's the truth I'm learning: you were never meant to carry it all. Not every weight. Not every expectation. Not everything for everyone.
Trying to manage every problem, every emotion, every task alone is like trying to hold water in your hands. It slips through no matter how tightly you grip.
Recognizing this is the first step toward relief. It means understanding your limits and accepting that some things are not yours to fix.
The Importance of Coming Back to Yourself
At some point, you must come back to yourself. You must breathe again. You must put something down.
This means taking time to check in with your feelings and needs. It means allowing yourself to rest without guilt.
It means saying no when your plate is full and yes to moments that nourish your soul.
You Are Not a Machine
Because you are not a machine. And you are not meant to live your life gasping for air while calling it strength.
Strength is not about endless endurance. It’s about knowing when to pause, when to ask for help, and when to let go.
It’s about being kind to yourself in the same way you would be to a friend.

Letting Go to Breathe
So today, maybe you don't hold it all together. Maybe you let something go.
And maybe, in doing that, you finally give yourself room to breathe. 💛
